I'm not sure what you're saying here because it sounds like you're gonna uphold merchants to ICO's starndards... but both are different things entirely. Besides, as far as I know there isn't a "Coinmarketcap" for all merchants. Well, and yes, it's not like I went on the darknet and pulled out some shady-looking websites or the ones that just look straighforward spammy. I double checked and they all seemed fine.

However, third party service (like CoinMap and similar) for people who WANT to be extra sure and cross reference everything before buying is a good idea (though for smaller purhases it just looks like unnecessary bother, as opposed to ICO and bigger investments, for example).
