ETH line of business is different from line of business of XRP, the first coins are used as payment for smart contract transaction such as  erc20 coins where it serve as s gas fee everytime you transfer any of your erc20 coins while XRP served as payment for cross border money transfer. And for me both alt coins has the potential to exist by their own respective line of business with out competing each other.
