Thats the thing with online work, you are competing with people that only make a few dollars per day in their country. $2/ hour is nothing in the United States but in certain countries that can be a decent amount.
It was a shocker for me finding out how far people are willing to go for a couple of dollars, or even a few pennies when it comes to people farming faucets, solving captchas, watching ads, and so forth.
It really seems that a lot of Indians have found their way to Bitcointalk in the last couple of years, and this fierce competition between users leads to very low rewards for basic tasks.
Good thing however is that these Indians due to a lack of understanding and skills can't compete with the rest when it comes to high level designing and coding tasks, and this is where businesses are still willing to pay big.
