Ofcourse but less than the luck that you need. When gambling in sports like tennis, you need to analyze and study both players and choose who will likely to win base on your analyze and with your luck
Working hard to analyze the two players might be worth it and can be seen after the match.

There's too many definition and meaning for the 'hard work' in gambling.

Hard work will pay off if you are also smart, hard work alone will not give you success in gambling.
We are spending time and effort on analyzing games but it has to be games that has no house edge, otherwise there's no success that we will achieve.
Its funny, what analysis do you do when gambling? in my opinion most of the game doesn't need analysis, all you need is great luck. what you analyze will not give any effect to change the possibility of winning or losing. gambling is not a job that requires an effort to profit
Analysis is only required when you are playing Poker/Card games and sports betting yet these things do really need it rather than on making bets blindly. You would really have the edge or possible increase of winning rate if you are fully aware on the team/player that you do bet on against into its opponent unlike on pure luck based games which doesn't really need at all that's why hard work wont really count on this one.
