I doubt EOS will ever surpass Eth.. The supply is another factor one needs to consider.. Eth is around 100m while EOS is 1 billion.. The EOS team will need to conjure some miraculous invention for it to ever happen..
Even if EOS will not be one of the first coins, it does not mean that it does not need to be kept on the wallet, it still has great prospects, popularity, capitalization and price will grow rapidly for a long time
