Fortunately bitcoin-core wallet app has an excellent alternative to do it and is "Convert Paper Portfolio", as simple as receiving but in essence different.
I'm beginning to think you are not actually using "Bitcoin Core", because "Bitcoin Core" does not have any "Convert Paper Portfolio" function!!?!
