I dont think regular whales have entered into the market again. It was found that three new investors just manupulated the market buying bitcoins for millions. This has caused other altcoins' value grow as well. A big jump from $4k to $5k and travelling steadily. Today there was a dump due to NY news on Bittrex and Bitstamp.
