I don't like the newly updated interface from MEW, I still like the experience in its old interface. Maybe because I recently experienced it and had a hard time finding the wallet access location with the private key, I hope that I will try to get used to it instead of using the old interface.
does look tough but I guess an update is done also to the wallet's security more secure. developers try to give your best, we just need to get used to the new look of the ethereum wallet.
