For the past few decades, whatever picture we were looking of thinking it was a blackhole was actually a simulation, so obviously this is a milestone in our space exploration. But would it help humanity in the long run more effectively than it did when it was in theory? Surely not. Because the blackhole observation didn't contradict any of the established theories that predicted how it exists. Sorry to be a little critical but yeah, this is a milestone and we must celebrate
