...We have established with OP, in another thread, that it's not about banning but rather some form of tagging.
...final solution is now changed to special badges...
...hmm  Huh  maybe a number instead of a nickname...
I hope anyone sees the obvious analogy here? Cleansing is never a good way out.
You can make a weapon even from harmless badges if you use it in the wrong way. We have just discussed possibilities and this one comes to my mind. After long consideration, we can use the trust system and add a proper notification with neutral trust by such accounts.

...If I’m reading your point correctly, you are vouching for a purge of that sort of accounts, that have been inactive for quite some time, in case they were to spring back to like after being sold, with some meaningful associated rank and possibly some available sMerits...
I am not vouching for a purge, more I am against it and only wanted to discuss with the community dangers associated with this type of accounts and to find a solution if possible. Now is the best time to do it with minimum harm for random victims.

...I guess you mean deletion, but since accounts are not deleted, the next closest would be a lockdown of some kind of these accounts. Nevertheless, people should be entitled to come back to their accounts after a period of inactivity if they wish...
No, I don't mean deletion. I am open to any possible solution. We can even use the trust feature for this and just add a proper note in these accounts with neutral rating to warn other users and block the possibility to sell and rip off another victim which buys this account because he is a newbie and don't know what "selling accounts is not prohibited" really means on this forum and will buy it.
You simplify a bit, my rule for a junk account looks completely different from your description. I mentioned a few different ways how you can recognize these accounts and it was not just inactivity.
What do I mean by the term Junk Accounts?

All accounts that were created only for the purpose of participating in bounty campaigns. 95 to 100 percent filled with reports for social bounty campaigns, airdrops signups, bounty signups, altcoins announcements, altcoins ANN threads, translations all made for bounty or just spammy short posts. Most often inactive for a long time (but not always). In various ranks with a lot of posts written in a short period of time when bounties were most rewarding. Most of them do not have additional merits except for the guaranteed pool after the introduction of the system.
