Project Update

What is the update?
The BOLD project will be moving away from a Cryptonote-based Proof-of-Work coin to a Proof of Stake (PoS)-based coin, with a Masternode feature.

Why is this happening?
This move is aimed at re-positioning BOLD to be more competitive in an increasingly competitive space.

Is there a time-frame for this move?
The move to a PoS/Masternode coin will be made tentatively about mid-June. Although the cut-over date will not be before June, please note that the mid-June date is tentative.

What is going on with the project now?
The BOLD team is working on a new code-base. The team has engaged and will be employing the technical advisory services of the development team of a major PoS/Masternode coin, well-respected in the crypto-currency space, to help with the implementation of this change

What are the details of the "new" coin?
More details and specifications for the "new" BOLD will be announced over time. We have about 2 months before the planned cut-over date, and there is quite a bit of work to be done.
