I think you should have a knowledge of both(fundamental and price action).
Having knowledge of both is not going to affect you in a bad way, it is only going to nourish your trading skills.
So, as per me, one should have a knowledge of both.

It's our money so we should be wise enough to know where to invest and when to invest.

And yes you need to choose yourself and i am confident in that way we will not make losses.
Trading by the news is not a good strategy in trading if you solely based on new, most likely you will only get FOMO or FUD, either way, it's all negative.
