Bitcoin always has a good future. Although the price drops dramatically compared to 2017 but sooner or later bitcoin will definitely rise dramatically again. From the beginning bitcoin was present in 2009 bitcoin always experienced ups and downs but it never made bitcoin die. Because bitcoin has a strong system and many countries have recognized and used bitcoin.
The Lightning Network will dominate the conversation surrounding Bitcoin in 2019. It promises greater utility for Bitcoin as not only a settlement layer but also a means of exchange. However, as the networks size and capacity grow, I fully expect users to run into usability issues due to uneven capacity and nascent decentralized routing technologies.
These issues, being ideological in nature, have the potential to create another Segwit-level disagreement if not handled proactively. I plan to watch this story closely as the community doggedly explores scaling solutions.
As long as Lightning grows healthy, Bitcoin will have a future.
