I see that people support that altcoin suits better for day trading, and not for holding. I just don't get why.
There is kindda, a formed image that bitcoin is much suitable for the long run or long term trading in a sense that, altcoin's main purpose in exchanges are for short day trading or what we call, scalping. I rather consider it a standard trading pattern because I don't see any negative implication it can incur to the market.
