Alright here we go with those hypocritical animal lovers!

Cockfighting is a traditional activity to a certain country. This has been happening for decades. I mean humans have found a better purpose for Roosters. After they died in a fight, they will be served in the table anyway. They arent even endangered, they have been reproduced, most specially those fearless and bold kinds.
We have our own different justification of when we call out for animal cruelty.

Just go through my post and get the facts straight. I am not an animal lover, but I am against animal cruelty.

I have seen these cock fights in real life. There is blood and flesh everywhere and normal human beings would find it extremely disturbing. Off course these birds are not endangered. But is it justifiable to attach sharp blades to their feet and let them cut each other's flesh with that?

I don't want to ban these events. I know that it is a part of the culture. All I am saying is that I can't support these events.

Well, we have our own differences when we're talking about "animal cruelty". These roosters are born to fight each other, which is different from the other animals. You will rarely find a rooster who will not fight when he sees another rooster. If you read my comment above, I said " humans have found a better purpose for the roosters.

And YES! It is justifiable! Only those who dont have the slightest idea about this culture who will say " its an act of animal cruelty". Did you know how these rooster owners have raised them? Roosters have vitamins, special food to enhance fighting, and trainings. After they died in the fight they will be served in the table anyway. So, Its just like youre raising a pig and on the latter you will slaughter it to serve it on the table. Do you consider it as animal cruelty??
My own definition of animal cruelty is, killing an animal without any purpose. Perfect example is killing cats and dogs.
