CamSoda is trying to grab their chances on crypto payments for there live cam sites. as we know some months ago PornHub also tried accepting crypto payments but then found out it was only 1 percent of their total earning was paid through crypto's but they are still a very optimist about cryptos. but CamSoda is going for it as it is a live cam which is more likely to get monthly subscriptions too.
1% is a huge ass number, and this was in Q3 2018. Things could have picked up since, considering that it took online pron a few years to figure out a way for people to even spend their cash online. Think they even branched out to mobile payments and sms charges for people who couldn't get credit cards, before trying out all manner of digital money. I think crypto was just one more step too far because of how all their webshops are set up, not to mention how difficult it would be for them to track actual leads for affiliate programming (how do you ensure each BTC referral is unique, for example?).
Say PH Makes 10 mill a month (and I'm sure they make that easily), 1% in crypto is a lot of money.
Also, they picked Verge instead of BTC. Of course it's a slower adoption. I don't use Verge, don't know anyone else that does!
