It was a mistake not something intentional. The only forum on Earth where junior members doesn't respect their seniors. At least I left BitcoinTalk a senior member with over 280 merits which you can never reach that for your entire life.
I have read threads on this forum where people have ranked from newbie to hero. They have moved from 0 merits to 500+ merits.
Reaching 280 merits would definitely not take a lifetime.
