It can increase public awareness about the existence of crypto currencies and of course, more and more people could join into the crypto world. It is a good form of marketing and hopefully there will be more big companies that emulate the steps of Samsung.
But the hype had died down already and we can't even weight if it indeed bring crypto closer to the masses. And as far as I know those crypto's who's initially supported in the initial release had a good run, unfortunately since the hype goes down, so is the price.
Emulating? I don't know, most smart crypto investors would only put small amounts of their coins in a wallet, because it is not secure, much better to invest in a hardware wallet than a expensive mobile phone.
