Ethereum for me is the second place to invest after Bitcoin, because ethereum has great potential for a lot of price increases like Bitcoin, so for me Ethereum will rise again along with the increase in the price of Bitcoin.
If talking about ethereum, of course it's a very potential coin and there's no doubt about it and I hope that bitcoin can rise soon because then ethereum might also rise as you say
Ethereum is still depending on BTC market price but we need to have a sustainable market so both of them will rise and free from the dips curse.
But we would like to see ETH soon to be independent from the market and could build its own strength making its own way. If that time will happen, there is only less possibility that it will dump when Bitcoin fall down.
