Just make your own rules at cryptocurrency/internet, Its really simple example like this: "Don't trust anybody" & "Always using Escrow went doing OTC Transaction". I did these rules never got a scammed at cryptocurrency almost 2 years been here.
That's the best ways to avoid getting scammed online. Don't even care about anyone that you do not know in Telegram especially if they are offering something where money is involved. Avoid to join random telegram groups without doing some researches about the group is recommended.
