I used to own a few $ADA coins back in 2018, thought it would be one of the top 3, who was I kidding right? But considering it's current trajectory, is it still worth it - buying for the long hodl?

Well" why not ADA is one of the most popular coins , but if looking for the alternative I will suggest of course no other than is ethereum. Both coins ADA and ethereum is for long term hold the decision is yours.
Of course, I have Ethereum in my portfolio, can't imagine anyone who deals in altcoins not having any. It would be the utmost abuse of the opportunity of a lifetime.
