I don't see the problem with doing it.  Even if it's open and nobody's willing to buy any cent using ltc yet because the value hasn't risen, it would at least already be setup for when the value does rise again. 

Also, I never had a pennies wallet before as I only bought on cryptsy.  I just downloaded the current one and it's syncing right now.  Do I need to do anything after it syncs to get it to receive/send pennies? Or is the current version good to go without any issues now?
