I also like holding coins but the price of bitcoin get decreasing but for now I start buying those altcoins that pumping to get some profit than other coins that's in bad situation.
actually buying altcoins at that time will give you a very attractive price, but if you think it will give you profit in the future then is maybe not like that, we may suffer a stronger dump when we still in the down trend market, and no matter what we buy, we can still loss money, so i suggest you not buying too much altcoins but just a small, then using the rest of money to start trading, it will give you high chance to have higher profit in the future.
