Has not the idea of uncensorable DNS been proposed before, while Satoshi was around?

I posted in that topic in 2010.
Still haven't given up on the idea.The specific idea in that topic was basically Namecoin, but implemented sort of like a naïve colored coins thing on Bitcoin. Eventually it became Namecoin. In any case, it has the censorability issues I mentioned in my OP.
Do you think it is not possible for Namecoin to overcome the potential censorship issues on its blockchain? Ive always held onto the hope that Namecoins brightest days were still in front of it as its use case is one of the most justifiable Ive seen.
