Makes little sense for them to lie about it being a hack rather than a mistake. And it looks like coins have already moved from those supposedly unspendable bc1 addresses.

Well so much for that theory. I guess it was put out by a website in a rush to generate content, as happens all too often.

The fallout from this will be more significant than your everyday hacking because it was Binance, but I guess it will take a few days for the dust to settle.
