Most Muslims feel this way. After ISIS captured Marawi (less than 100 miles from when I currently live) there was a huge outcry from the region's Muslim population and mass disavowment of their actions. There usually is among the Muslim population in general whenever ISIS does something heinous, wherever it may be, but those who are intent on promoting hatred and division will always ignore it so they can continue believing that religious war is is imminent or already in progress.

It's all so they can reaffirm some sort of belief that they are better than other people, because they themselves have a deep seeded inferiority complex that is masked by a superiority complex. In general, it's just weakness.
