This:
I've been seeing a LOT of downtime/site offline since Coinmarket has gone over to Cloudflare.
Just figured I'd speak up, since I never saw downtime that wasn't announced prior to the changeover.
Secondly, this week has seen a transaction malleability problem; MtGox caused a ruckus (and got dumped by many foundations and organizations) by blaming it on Bitcoin core protocol, when it's obvious, to a BEGINNER like me (I don't even code anymore), that the problem is with hot wallets.
This brings us to two conclusions:
1) Dear users of Coinmarket; it's not 100% their fault. Integrating with Cloudflare looks to be a bad move (use a better, or custom DDOS solution please?)
2) Malleability problems suffered globally at the same time - please bloody stop using hotwallets! Additionally, using hot wallets ALLOWS for exchanges to practice Fractional Reserve Lending, a scam which has caused numerous economic collapses, and causes instant inflation to currencies.
3) Keep up the good work, but please do consider the above..
Sincerely, Anti-Hot-Wallets-Guy.
