It completely depends upon the project you choose because last year we have seen many projects failed to reach their softcap and which we didn't get any payments from them. In the same way, sometimes we need to have the luck to find the most reputable company in order to increase its price with the activiy and developments after their crowd sales.
You are trying to say about altcoin but OP is for bitcoin and it is not gone the time to invest on bitcoin and be wealthy but you cant make too much money by investing on small amount. You can still be wealthy but ration will be lower than earlier.
No it is not like this because if we will think like this and will not invest then the market will not rise and it will not make progress so every trader will have to start buying bitcoin as it is very cheap but being an old trader I am well aware of all those golden chances to buy some bitcoin at low price then trade for long term, still bitcoin has more potential to make profit and it will be the same for years.
