We've merged the first of two pull requests before 3.0.5 release. this is a major code cleanup/ui change plus the reactivation of big blocks that got turned off during the masternode activation. this will probably be the last release until bitcoin-modules is completed.

Once bitcoin-modules is released, we're looking at being rebased into 0.18.0 btc codebase lighter, faster, more secure blockchain and wallet. then the modules/ecosystem will begin.
