In light with recently discovered vulnerabilities on Zerocoin based projects, it is interesting to note that VEIL will not be using or implementing anymore Zerocoin technology as the base core of its protocol as per their official blog -

The good thing is they removed the vulnerabilities from the wallet really quickly bad news is temporarily anonymity feature is disabled on VEIL hopefully we will soon get back a way to make an anonymous transaction through VEIL.
