Bitcoin may do you rich,1 btc now cost more 6000$.I was know first about bitcoin in 2013 from pool 50btc.
Yes that's true, Bitcoin is able to make you rich at the moment, because the price of Bitcoin is increasing year by year, so if you hold a lot of Bitcoin, of course you are rich. 
But that is only if you have skills in trading.
I am sure that many people can be rich from cryptocurrency and I guess that many of people already rich in 2017 ago and they come back in the middle of 2018 to invest in any coins with a low price because, in that year, every coin has to get down too deep.
They can buy a lot of coins, and of course, they will choose the profitable coins to hold for a long time and now they see that what they invest in a year ago has given a profit now.
