Beginning May 7, 2019, all the affected gaming operators should not allow any player to make deposits and play betting games without completing the process of verifying his/her name, age, and address. With this, the three-day grace period given before to new players signing up no longer applies.

The laying down of this stricter rule is part of the commission’s goal to get children out of the gambling sphere. In a report by UKGC, it was found out that the number of children with gambling-linked issues quadrupled in the past two years. Now, there are more or less 55,000 children aged 11 to 16 recorded with compulsive gambling issues.

All online casinos licensed by the UKGC implement the KYC rule, now even stricter. Any thoughts on the changes made by the commission to the age & identity verification process?

This would just move more casinos to offshore and towards cryptocurrency. Already many of the British casinos have moved themselves to offshore British overseas territory or countries with more considerate  laws like malta and panama.
Most likely be the case to happen thats why we are seeing some of them goes offshore due to this regulation.I can say that stricter laws about KYC do really have that benefit or reason for avoiding young minds to get
involved on gambling on early age but we know that this thing is the main concern on most people where verifying themselves is the most hated part. So,its no surprise that they would switch into places that doesnt
require everything but somehow this do also mainly affects for young minds to switch into crypto and thats an inevitable thing.
