Cardano is one of the alts that can be held for long-term to medium-term. Because it is backed up by advanced Haskell algorithms and it can emerge as a solution to many of the deficiencies that the top cryptocurrencies face. But the same can't be said about the vast majority of the other alts. In most of the cases, once they crash in the market, then they never makes a recovery.
