Based on the previous tournaments, I believe the prizes were not adjusted based on how many players are eligible. It means that the prize is fixed, so no matter how many users are participating then winners will get the prize as listed on the site since the first announcement. Regarding your possible prize compared with what you have lost, it is your own risk. No one forces you to join the tournament so your lost is obviously your own responsible. Even if the prize that you'll get is much more smaller than what you have lost, then it is what you deserve to get.
