User/I made a mistake post one years ago. If this is the only mistake he/she obviously got familiar with rules and changed the behavior. Why ban if user is no longer making a mistakes or act against the rules in period like 1 year or longer. In this case delete the post and send user a warning: you made mistake 1 year ago we are glad you changed the behavior.

Doesn't matter if you don't remember. Doesn't matter if you don't usually plagiarize. Doesn't matter if you were new here and didn't read the rules and didn't have enough common sense. Doesn't matter if you're sorry. Doesn't matter if it was you only did it one time.
Get it? All of those are excuses, and we've heard them all before. You haven't made any extraordinary contributions to this forum, so there's no chance in hell you're going to get your account restored, unless it's with a signature ban or something.
