The control and ownership of data have been debated in the past, today and even into the future all because data is a big commodity and its value can accelerate in the years to come. In the social media scene, the use of blockchain technology for user-generated data should be used and tested but even if there have been many good project proposals for such an idea it seems that nothing took the market by storm.
