I know a lot of people who quitted their day job to trade in the cryptocurrency market.
But it was when the market was good.
In this bear market, they're struggling very hard to survive.
So I think the best way to invest is this :
Have a side job, cut down your expenses, then invest 10-20% of your monthly income in the market. This way you never have to worry about gain and loss and surely you have higher chance of getting rich because the market will recover in the long run!

I don't like the idea that they should continue to invest every month because they can just hold their remaining tokens during this winter market. And we aren't still sure that the bulls are coming back in a few years because it can also be extended up to 5 years and so on.

Personally, i have be holding some coins over since 2017 ending where the bull run stopped. I bought some coins when the market price was $19,234 hopping that the market price will go up but it never did, so, i decided to hold my coins till the market get back to where i bought exactly before sale. Hold if you can and sell if you are convince to do.
Your experience as I experienced it too. When Bitcoin reached its highest point in 2017, I foolishly did not sell anything, instead I bought altcoin which is now a waste! Luckily for those who still hold bitcoin at this time. I am sure that bitcoin will go out in the near future.
LOL, I guess you are also seeing bitcoin recovery price as the last ATH, which we will surely see, we just have to be little bit more patient, that is why we have it as long term investment, and if we look at bitcoin long term investment, there is no fixed time as to when the time will come, but a factor must definitely make it come within a short term.

If I were you, I would have used those altcoins to recover by selling them into BTC, you keep using those altcoins you sold to BTC to buy dip and take profit every time you see an opportunity, in which by now, you may have almost recovered your money.
