The POS reward is 1.20 8BIT, which is 0.32 8BIT for the stake wallet and a reward of 0.88 8BIT for the masternode. That is the reason to set up masternodes. But the stake wallets get 1.20 8BIT and don't reward the masternodes, so there is no incentive to set up a masternode. Which is a problem for a masternode coin.
The more coins you have in your wallet, the more rewards you will receive, since it depends greatly on the network weight and probably a bit of luck, but I see a lot of the same addresses getting the rewards and I'm not talking about 0.32 8BIT, but 1.20 8BIT. So they are extremely lucky or have a high network weight and they certainly cheat by not rewarding the masternodes.
I know the cheating was already a problem 4 years ago, but I don't think it was ever 39 out of 40 blocks...
I don't know much about the past of this coin, but the Consensus Rules as they currently are won't be changed. Actually, couldn't be changed that easily. I am also not a fan of Consensus changes. Scamcoins resort to such tactics, usually.
And as this coin has no active exchanges right now all this reward stuff is not that important. I'd like to think that there will be more people interested in this coin, but it doesn't seem there will be many.
Well, at least you can now run it on the three major OSes: win32, mac & linux. Go to
https://8bit.cashAs I have not received any support so far from the community (
a few people here wrote here, many thanks for that!) I don't think that my skills are needed here. However, I will be keeping the home page and also updating the boostrap.dat there for the upcoming year. After that I'll decide what to do with it in future.
Cheers,
