The key is to Have proper risk management. Common mistakes that a lot of traders are doing is to simply go "all in" like they are playing poker. Do not use more than 5-10% for each position so you will not get rekt at your first trade. Don't risk 30% to earn 5%.
If you take risk 30% to earn 5% that still can be possible to make profit but in this case you might have to wait a long time to reach your destination because once it goes below 30% if it losses it price then it may take long time to recover 30% and make profit 5%.
