It would be very difficult for eth to be overthrown even if projects with more features are being created for the creation of smart contracts and deployment of dapps to the blockchain, we should know that without the existence of eth, this idea might not have come to be and this respect will always be given to the coin, this is the same reason why bitcoin cannot be taken off as the king in the crypto market despite the fact that a lot of good project that claimed to have even much more features than bitcoin had where launched.
