Accepting payments in Bitcoin is important because this way Bitcoin is performatively recognized as money, not something else. As the US policies struggle with naming Bitcoin legal tender, such moves from big players can push the regulations in the right direction. Not to mention that it's another step forward in terms of adoption. More people will see Bitcoin as an option, hear about it more often and perhaps even try it. The number of Blockchain wallet users will reach 38.5 million by the end of the month, but we really need a nice adoption boost if we want Bitcoin to compete with other payment methods.
