You have chosen what is not quite a good way to raise funds. On what basis should we trust you? How strange to ask us to donate money in this way.

We are seeking a way to unite all affected users and projects, behind this entity we named MajesticThirteen. The research and action has to rely on voluntary donations, because even with a small group, we don`t even come close to the amount that`s needed to set up a full scale investigation with lawyers and blockchain experts involved. This is a matter of the community, so we call on the community. It`s your choice if you think this is an odd way, which again, we can understand. In our opinion, setting up a central entity without getting individually involved is way easier for everyone. We`ve chosen this set up as for now, since a lot is still unclear and we just started. Your input is appreciated, because it will help us gather more support, maybe this explanation helps a little bit.

How will we set up our research?
1. Gather support and funds
2. Find a lawfirm that can and wants to handle this case
3. Hire external blockchain expert to confirm gathered evidence
4. Combine them into a big case
5. Information release through @MajesticThirte1 Twitter account and this Discord channel
6. Make research findings and results public

Again, we really don`t trust the way this will be handled by authorities. Even while operating anonymously now, we still believe we have a way better chance of setting up a decent investigation within a reasonable time. Months,  or even years, simply can`t be accepted in this case. They will certainly drag things out for years. Setting up an external investigation will even support the investigation from the authorities, perhaps even speed things up! We see a lot of people on social media saying they want to do something about this and so do we.

Sincerely,
MajesticThirteen

Clear goals are to get the user funds (at least from unaffected coins) released quickly, while also making sure to position as a creditor for projects that have paid certain fees to get listed on their exchange. These are two realistic goals and an external investigation also gives pressure to the already ongoing investigation by authorities. Operating from a single entity that, next to shareholders, has two of the most important interest groups in Cryptopia(projects and users) has a lot of positives. We can certainly understand the issues you feel about operating in this way, but by presenting a clear plan and being transparant with our intentions and information we hope to gather a lot of support.
