Facebook doesn´t have enough money? They want to earn money in an industry they don't understand. This can only result in a damage of cryptocurrencies or in a damage Facebook as a company. 
They're not doing it for money only, they're doing it for better management of transactions. It's not like that they're totally inexperienced in this industry, as recently they talked to Winklevoss twins about this all.
