Ripple is attractive to investors because of the speed that it shot up last time there was a bull run. It might happen again but that largely depends on the huge supply of xrp
You can switch "Ripple" (XRP) with almost any of the Top 25 coins like IOTA, XLM or OMG, all of them got pumped late 2017, thats nothing special to XRP. Bull runs may happen again, but whats already noticable is that almost all altcoins dont profit that much from BTCs pump like they did in late 2017.
