ETC will always be around because it is the original chain of Ethereum. I don't believe it will ever overtake Ethereum - which forked from it - but as the original chain many are philosophically aligned with it based on the idea of immutability. Also, ETC will likely remain a proof of work chain. So, I think ETC will generally follow the top 30 cryptos in price.
