Do you think if people are trying to get the key with a method not tied to the puzzle, are they following a wrong path?

Wouldn't it be more logical to have only one solution that solves the puzzle instead of having millions of possible solutions and trying them all?

As vague as an enigma may be, I don't think it can have millions of possible solutions.
In my opinion, the approach to finding the solution is probably wrong.
