Bitcoin is though very easily usable but it is risky money / investment.  Anytime it may move to any direction.
Fluctuating value is just one drawback otherwise no other currency / coin can match it.
It has not been able to touch the price level of 2017.  So if one wants to earn via investing here must be ready to take risk of losing too.
