If the only basis will just be both as payment then people will surely use ethereum for fast process and shorter transaction time but this is not the case, people look at both of them differently as much as they regard and value them differently. Not much of us want to use bitcoin to pay for pizza or coffee and not all also regard ethereum as a commodity or store of value. It will be like substituting salt with sugar or vice versa which cannot be because each has different flavor.
