If the project do really have that innovative or simply do have that potential behind.Community would be the one who will follow and support that project until it do create some buzz either if the project owner itself would tend to showcase it off on the initial phase or just simply decide to keep it silent because if exposure isnt the intention on the early phase then it do get some recognition gradually then it signifies on how good it is.Community building would gradually arise.

I think thought like this can be a problem if you're using it to justify your lack of community engagement.

Product and community are both important, so whatever your priority is, don't let one or the other hamper your ability to work. A golden spoon is nothing if nobody knows about it. While if you sell shit, some might buy because their peers told them to do so. It sucks.

Build your product and engage with your community is the best way.
