Assuming you remember parts of the password or the password isn't too complex, it's possible.
There are few tools/software such as
https://github.com/gurnec/btcrecover which also support GPU acceleration for far faster brute force.
From what I know all the ways to "recover" the password are brute force attacks.
If you know some details about the password, will make the brute attack less lengthy and with better chances to success.
Length of password and characters used (lower case, upper case, number, special character, etc.) also determine whether it's possible to recover lost wallet's password by brute force.
